Neo-etruscan revival parure ring brooch earrings filigree granules lapis lazuli

Here we have what we call in our trade, a parure. A parure is a matching set of jewellery. This 18K yellow gold Neo-Etruscan parure from around 1900 consists of a solitaire ring, a brooch and a pair of earrings.

Regarding the brooch, an alignment of five cabochon cut lapides lazuli set in a twisted gold wire halo topped with filigree frills and granules are horizontally arrayed on a rounded lath with smaller columns appearing vertically from between each halo.
In the pair of earrings, these ornamental elements are rendered in the elegant suspension dangling from its lapis lazuli surmount.
From the solitaire ring, an oval cabochon cut lapis lazuli excels in its crown-setting with a filigree wire, a flower and granules at its both side on the shank.

Even though these jewellery pieces possess an archetypical allure in the filigree adornments, still they gleam of a contemporary ambience of feminine power and exotic character through the contrast between the blue stones and the yellow gold.
