Source of inspiration: Love and romance
Theme: +qu hier et - que demain - This jewel reads: + qu hier - que demain. This is inspired by a beautiful and romantic French poem by Rosemonde Gérard called 'Les Vieux', which was intended for Edmond Rostand. It comes from the sentence 'Et, comme chaque jour je t'aime davantage, Aujourd'hui plus qu'hier et bien moins que demain' and it means 'And because I love you more and more each day, today more than yesterday but less than tomorrow'. This jewel became very popular and is still considered today as a token of love.
Material: 18K yellow gold

Diamond(s): Five single brilliant cut diamonds (also called 8/8) with an estimated weight of ± 0.05ct. (colour and clarity: F/H, vs/si).
- All diamond weights, color grades and clarity are approximate since stones are not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
Precious stones: 30 rubies (lab produced) (also called verneuil ruby). The fact that these stones are lab produced has no influence on the value of this jewel. Natural rubies and lab produced rubies were both used in this era, rather more for their effect than for their intrinsic value.
Birthstones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April and ruby for July.

Monogram: A.A. (for A.Augis)
