Aristotle about pearls

Aristotle (385 BCE - 323 BCE) attributed many healing properties to the pearl. According to him, pearls set the blood free from the black bile and would have a healing effect on palpitations, shock, fear, and anxiety. Pearls rubbed with ointments would heal sick eyes. Shaken vigorously in water, the pearls were even a remedy for the most terrible disease in the Orient, leprosy. When pearl water was rubbed on the white areas, the skin would be healthy again.
To Adin's chief philosopher, Mr. Elkan Wijnberg, this is irrefutable proof that Aristotle had shares in the pearl industry.
