The Cullinan diamond, is the biggest diamond ever found. With an unpolished weight of 3.601 carat (1 720 gram or 1 462.96 dwt). It was eventually cut into 9 main stones and 96 smaller.The biggest of these is pear-shaped.It is known by two names "Cullinan 1" or "Great star of Africa" and weighs 530.20 carat (approx. 17 ounces!). It can be seen as part of the British Monarchy's crown jewels and is found in theRoyal Sceptre at the Tower of London.
