Examples made in India during the Mughal period sometimes were a close-fitting wide band set withgemstones and having a dangling fringe of pendants and tassels, or made of several components linked together, often with a crescent-shaped gold and jewelled pendant with dangling beaded ornaments andgemstones, all suspended from multiple pearl chains.
