An article of Portuguese peasant jewelry in the form of an earring or a pendant that has in the centre adecoration in the form of a rosette (that somewhat resembles the dial of a clock, hence the name) but that has the overall appearance of an ornate heart and bow-knot, such as was popular in the18th century.
